JOB SUMMARY
The Personal Injury (LOP) Lead Account Manager will be based in our Houston, TX HQ office.
This role will be responsible for supervising a team of LOP account managers on collecting payments from personal injury attorneys for all services rendered under a letter of protection (LOP).
This role will also be responsible for managing all billing related customer service inquiries on attorney accounts to facilitate the legal process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Report directly to the Director of LOP Billing in Dallas and supervise the local collection team in Houston
•Engage and follow up with the personal injury attorneys for which the Company provides services to their injured patient client.
Track case statuses and ensure all bills, records, affidavits, and other legal requests are completed to facilitate settlement or litigation of the case for the Company to be reimbursed under LOP.
•Communicate directly with the personal injury attorneys and/or paralegals during the negotiation and approval of reduction offers
•Understand KPIs around LOP AR collection trends and benchmarks, identify operational issues and can provide recommendations and strategies to improve collection
•Work with departments throughout the organization, third party vendors and attorneys to resolve issues related to billing and customer inquiries
•Provide support, mentoring and training of new and existing LOP collection staff, including but not limited to creating policies and procedures to be enforced
•Assist in training new team members and provide input to the employees' performance evaluations
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience with personal injury, case management, LOP workflow, settlement/litigation process
•Experience with AR collection for high volume of accounts, preferably in a provider setting
•Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
•Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
