Pgy2 Emergency Medicine Residency

St. Joseph's/Candler is a 714 bed community-based regional referral health system comprised of two hospitals with an annual combined emergency department census of over 110,000 patients. The PGY2 Emergency Medicine residency is structured to meet the goals and objectives of the individual resident, while meeting the ASHP requirements for a PGY2 residency in Emergency Medicine.
The goal of this PGY2 emergency medicine residency is to train pharmacy practitioners who will be qualified to work in a variety of emergency medicine or critical care environments. Trauma experience is provided through a rotation at Grady Hospital, as well as an intensive Toxicology experience at the Georgia Poison Control Center, both located in Atlanta, GA.
The resident will also participate in a Graduate Certificate program through The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy receiving a Graduate Certificate upon completion. Teaching opportunities will include precepting PGY1 residents and PharmD students and didactic teaching via either distance learning or on-campus instruction.

Minimum Requirements U.S. Citizenship and completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency. Transcript(s), CV, and a minimum of three letters of recommendation are required for consideration. Licensure in the State of Georgia must be obtained.
