Building Location:South University ClinicDepartment:12422 IV PharmacyJob Description:This position is responsible for providing accurate, safe, and efficient pharmaceutical care, teaching, training, and practice development. Opportunities exist for clinical practice in both pediatric and/or adult medicine. Job duties also include developing and maintaining medication ordering, dispensing, and delivery systems for patients; educating pharmacists, pharmacist residents, pharmacy students, and other health care personnel in areas of expertise; and participating in programs related to drug therapy activities (medication use evaluations, medication use policies and guidelines, formulary management, medication error reduction). This position may act as a pharmacy residency program director and may also coordinate/precept pharmacy students' learning rotations. This position will demonstrate leadership and expertise through administrative activities and committee membership.Education Qualifications:Required Qualifications: Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (M.S. or PharmD degree required) ASHP-Accredited Hospital Residency, board certification training program or equivalent clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications: Currently a Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) in good standing or eligible to become within 1 year of hirePost graduate year 2 residency experience or similar experienceThree years clinical experience Experience working in a clinic oncology or infusion practiceExperience in all aspects of the pharmaceutical care surrounding chemotherapy, biological and other common oncology and infusion pharmaceuticalsFamiliar with creating and maintaining treatment protocolsEvidence of involvement in residency and learner program support and management.Licensure/Certification Qualifications:Certification/Licensure Required:Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS or PharmD degree required).Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy of the state in which they will be workingIf not licensed as a Registered Pharmacist upon hire, the candidate must have a Pharmacy Intern License and/or is eligible to work as an intern and must become a Registered Pharmacist within 90 days of hire:Minnesota: Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Intern through the Minnesota Board of PharmacyWisconsin: In the final months of a Pharmacy program.
