JOB SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for processing and filling prescriptions for patients of Visante clients. Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, this role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including prescription management, patient care, and medication accuracy from processing and filling specialized prescriptions to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring accurate medication management.In this role, you will receive and verify prescriptions, prepare and dispense medications, and maintain an organized pharmacy inventory. You will also assist with medication orders, manage patient interactions, handle billing-related issues, and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and regulations. Your ability to multitask, prioritize urgent tasks, build strong client relationships, and collaborate with team members will be critical to your success. This position requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of specialty medications, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following skills and abilities should include:Receive and verify prescriptions through electronic, facsimile, telephone, and paper sources.Process prescriptions electronically, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.Accurately select and dispense the required quantity of medication.Sort, stock, and label medications to maintain an orderly pharmacy inventory.Assist with medication orders as directed by the pharmacist.Prepare outbound packages for medication delivery to patients.Handle outbound patient refill and recruitment calls.Resolve billing-related issues as needed.Greet patients, manage incoming calls, and direct clinical inquiries to the pharmacist. Demonstrate good judgment, multi-tasking abilities, and prioritize competing demands with urgency.Build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with team members.
