Duties and Responsibilities:Provides excellent customer servicePerforms general administrative duties as requested by physicians and office managersProcesses prior authorizations and refill requests in the Electronic Medical Record systemAssists in connecting patients with various patient assistance programs offeredMaintains medication samples onsite and tracks dispensingEstablishes and maintains relationships with various pharmaceutical representativesTakes incoming calls from pharmacies to provide refill authorizations, answer questions about medication interactions and clarify prescriptionsTakes incoming phone calls from patients and assists them with medication concerns or takes messages for the physician.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredKnowledge of pharmaceutical principles and practices, including medical terminology and of insurance payors Ability to get along with the public and make patients feel welcome and comfortableMust be willing to travel to satellite offices if necessaryMust maintain appropriate Pharmaceutical licenseMust have the ability to work as a team with coworkers and providers
