Responsibilities Lead and individually contribute to data science and machine learning R&D projectsUse your expertise in data science, machine learning, and computer science to lead research projects and recommend solutions to technology and business problemsInterview candidates for open positions on our teamLead and contribute to projects from early-stage research through development, in consultation with stakeholdersProvide technology leadership to yield innovative differentiating solutionsImplement and optimize state-of-the-art algorithms in distributed environmentsWork with our Engineering teams to integrate your solutions into Epsilon PeopleCloud Digital Media Solutions platformDevelop an understanding of Epsilon PeopleCloud Digital Media Solutions personalization platform and proprietary datasetsParticipate fully in our collaborative approach to research and applications projectsQualifications Ph.D. in a computational, mathematical, engineering, or scientific fieldFluency in computer programming, data structures, and algorithm designProven analytic and modeling skills; proficient at implementing, and evaluating accurate and scalable solutions to business problemsProven ability to lead development projects from conception through deploymentProven ability to lead and conduct research projects2+ years of industry experience in a computational area such as data science, computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistics, or graph algorithmsDemonstrated proficiency working with business and technical teams to integrate algorithms into product platforms on large datasetsAbility to gather cross-team project requirements from diverse stakeholders and set expectations for deliverablesVerbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize technically complex information for a non-technical audienceOrganizational, motivational, and interpersonal skillsAdditional, But Not Required Skills Spark librariesScala programmingPython programmingSQL queriesExperience with distributed computingExperience with Hadoop and cloud databasesSalary Range: $149,000 - $164,000
