Completion of an accredited program in phlebotomy technology. Minimum of one-year phlebotomy experience. Current CPR Certification. Collect, prepare and protect specimen. Process specimen for shipment to appropriate labs. Perform calibrations and maintain reference standards to ensure accurate results for tests. Respond to emergencies and/or critical incidents. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding new laboratory services and procedures. Maintain proper records and documentation of tests and complete required reports. Maintain a clean and orderly working environment consistent with Universal Precautions and other applicable infection control standards. Adhere to safety and security policies and procedures.
