We're seeking a talented Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II to join our team.
You'll play a vital role in our organization, interacting with patients and ensuring accurate and efficient blood specimen collection.
Responsibilities: Patient Interaction: Greet patients, explain procedures, and create a welcoming and trusting atmosphere. Phlebotomy: Draw quality blood samples from patients, following established practices and procedures. Specimen Preparation: Prepare specimens for lab testing. Process Excellence: Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focus on process excellence, and maintain confidentiality and accuracy. Operational Efficiency: Perform daily activities accurately and on time, maintaining a safe and professional environment. Verification: Verify patient demographic information and initials, including patient signatures post-venipuncture. Documentation: Maintain required records and documentation. Company Representation: Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Qualifications: Quality Work: Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Phlebotomy Skills: Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients. Flexibility: Availability to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed. Adherence: Committed to all policies and procedures, including company dress code, employee health and safety, and everyday excellence guiding principles. Decision-Making: Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment. Transportation: Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable. Travel: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to cover multiple locations, including patient service centers and in-office phlebotomy locations. Multitasking: Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. Customer Focus: Demonstrates superior customer focus, open and transparent communication, adaptability to change, and knowledge of the business. Education and Experience: Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
Phlebotomy certification is preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington). Experience: Three years of phlebotomy experience is required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is preferred.
