Description
Researches, conceives and photographs portraits, architecture and campus life for department publications both print and electronic.
Manages photography for a myriad of institutional and presidential requests and serves as university liaison for outsourced photography projects.
Manages the photographic component of all publications, advertising and university collateral from concept to completion.
Works in tandem with art director and graphic designers to translate marketing objectives in creative executions.
Monitors university advertising for adherence to photographic branding and standards.
Consults with clients to evaluate individual project needs; works with designers and clients to shoot imagery best suited to project needs.
Serves as photography liaison with outside entities, as needed.
Makes recommendations for the best approach to photographic assignments.
Provides video, audio and high resolution still photography in the studio and on location.
Edits and formats multimedia images using state-of-the-art equipment and software.
Provides assistance and training on photographic and multimedia equipment and related software to interns and staff as needed.
Researches, recommends and utilizes new technologies for media and publications.
Maintains media equipment, facilities, supplies and archives.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline.
Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college of university or an equivalent in depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly related job experience.
Department is willing to consider experience in lieu of education.
