Requirements State licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physical Therapist Professional or Student Physical Therapist experience Qualifications Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) Graduate of a Physical Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) (or foreign equivalent) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Responsibilities Screening patients Performing evaluations and developing initial and interim treatment and discharge plans Documenting progress toward identified objectives Overseeing Physical Therapist Assistant(s) Developing and implementing new programs/techniques to enhance physical therapy services Conducting patient and family education Delivering quality physical therapy services Putting patient service first Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
