Responsibilities
• Review resident information and evaluate impact on treatment• Conduct thorough functional assessment of residents• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans• Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines• Instruct and supervise Assistants in treatment procedures• Document treatment progress and revise plans as needed• Orient residents to program services and potential risks• Maximize resident's use of functional abilities• Instruct residents and caregivers in exercise programs• Assist in referral process for additional services
Requirements
• Bachelor/Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy• Current license in the state of practice• Prefer supervision, training, or experience in similar setting• Certification and demonstrated competency in specializations• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills• Competency in physical therapy principles, methods, and equipment• Ability to assess resident needs and develop comprehensive care plans• Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements• Ability to perform physical activities safely and for prolonged periods
