Responsibilities:
The person serving in the position of Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating disabilities, injuries and disease through the use of a wide range of modalities and exercise as well as providing education and consulting services to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients.
They restore, maintain and promote overall fitness and health.
The Physical Therapist serves in a multidisciplinary capacity providing services to a wide variety of populations.
The person serving in the position of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works as part of a team to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist.
The PTA is responsible for carrying out therapy treatment plans established by the physical therapist for treatment of patients with disabilities, injuries, or diseases, obtain data related to the intervention provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
The Physical Therapist Assistant serves in a multidisciplinary capacity providing therapy services to a wide variety of populations which may include pediatric, medical, surgical, ambulatory and geriatric.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy with Masters or Doctoral degree or Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapist Assistant
Licensed by the State of Minnesota
BLS certification (within 6 months of hire)
Preferred One (1) year experience desired, 3+ years preferred
