Our program supports extensive clinical, translational, and basic research initiatives including a large clinical trials program.

The PA will have the opportunity to take part in quality improvement initiatives, policy or clinical pathway development, education, research, health advocacy, professional development, and leadership opportunities throughout their career.
The PA will be offered training and educational opportunities both at orientation and on an ongoing basis, and will be expected to develop their potential as a leader and teacher in DMOH.
Working under the direction of a supervising Medical Oncologist, the principal responsibilities of the PA may include but are not limited to: conducting patient interviews and taking medical histories; performing physical examinations; management of symptoms and treatment-related adverse events; ordering and interpreting tests; providing medical orders and prescriptions; assisting with patient admission and discharge; patient counseling on their oncologic situation; and delivery of virtual medical care, including partial work from home opportunities.
The PA will also have the opportunity to take part in the care of patients who are receiving treatment as part of research-based clinical trials.
The PA will perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.
