Hoag is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Urology & Urologic Oncology team in Newport Beach and Irvine, CA.

Our experienced team of specialized urologic cancer experts, state-of-the-art facilities and the latest in cancer therapies and technologies, like molecular imaging and therapy, single- and multi-port DaVinci robotic surgical systems, Robotic Focal HIFU, and MR-guided ViewRay MRIdian™ linear accelerator, ensure our patients receive the most advanced urologic cancer care available.
Essential Functions Provide comprehensive health assessment, diagnosis and treatment in the inpatient and outpatient settings under the supervision of the supervising physician.
Performs first assist on surgical procedures within the OR, daily inpatient rounding within a high-volume floor, and conduct screening for new patient consults.
Writes orders in the recovery room, communicates with family, and performs post-op procedures as needed.
Act in the best interest of the patient by providing information to make informed decisions in their care.
Orders discharge summaries, writes prescriptions, explains discharge instructions, confirms follow-up appointments with patients, consulting/referring to the supervising physician, as needed Consistently demonstrates appropriate and thorough patient codes, and documentation in the medical record for care provided and recommended.
Clinical Care: Ensure that quality patient care is delivered to all patients on a 24-hour basis, and the unit is maintained in accordance with professional and regulatory standards and the philosophy and goals of Hoag.
Reports all abnormalities to the supervising physician.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Details & Required Qualifications Full-Time Position is located in Newport Beach and Irvine, CA Previous experience as a surgical physician assistant with an acute care setting.
Must have previous experience working as PA within the specialty of Urology or Urologic Oncology.
Adult Urology, Men's Health and Fertility, Male Reproductive Medicine Previous experience with male fertility and hormonal management, sexual and ejaculatory dysfunction, and both surgical and non-surgical management of complex Peyronie's disease, including Xiaflex injections.
Graduation from a Physician Assistant's training program and current license in good standing by the Board of Medical Examiners of the State of California.
Evidence of satisfactory performance and completion of proctoring requirements.
EMR Epic License and Certifications Required: Current license in good standing to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of California.
Current BLS and ACLS certification is required prior to clinical rotation.
Current and active DEA licensure.
Salary Information: $110k - $195k, The salary range listed is for a full-time position and does not include additional incentive compensation or benefits that you may be eligible for.
The total compensation will be reviewed and adjusted based on fair market value, experience, training, or any additional hospital needs.
