Physician - Cardiology Job Summary: Tryon Medical Partners is looking for a Cardiologist, or Cardiology Specialist, to help patients suffering from conditions that impact the heart and blood vessels manage their symptoms and lead healthier lives. Duties commonly include conducting examinations and ordering tests to diagnose conditions, performing procedures and educating patients on lifestyle changes that support heart health. Responsibilities: Conducting examinations and patient interviews to learn about symptoms and check for signs of disease.Ordering and performing tests to determine the cause of symptoms.Providing an accurate diagnosis based on the results of exams and tests.Explaining the risks and benefits of available treatments to patients and helping them make an informed decision about care.Performing procedures and prescribing medications to address cardiovascular conditions.Educating and counseling patients on how to modify their lifestyle, diet and exercise to promote cardiovascular health.Updating patient records.Staying up-to-date on the latest research into cardiovascular medicine.Remain on call for your own patients.Reading arterial and venous vascular studies, echocardiograms, exercise stress test, stress echo, nuclear stress tests and performing TEE. Requirements: Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree.MD or DO degree.Completion of a residency in medicine and a fellowship in cardiology, in ACGME approved programs.Current BC/BE in Cardiology (American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiology).Valid North Carolina medical License.Valid DEA certificate. Experience: 2 years' experience working full-time as a cardiologist.Exceptional attention to detail.Outstanding research and analytical skills.Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients. Physical Requirements: Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds.Ability to concentrate on details.Use of computer for long periods of time.
