Basic Requirements: Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States. Education: Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. Licensure & Registration: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Residency Training: Completed a Dermatology Residency Training Program. Board Certification: Board Certification in Dermatology is required. English Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English. Physical Requirements: Must pass a pre-employment physical examination as required by VA Handbook 5019. This position requires moderate lifting, carrying objects, frequent reaching, walking, standing, bending, and transferring patients.
Duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assess and analyze data relevant to the Dermatology Section. Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide care to patients with skin disorders. Collaborate with Physicians Assistants and other medical staff. Work in compliance with VHA prevention guidelines and patient safety goals. Complete encounters in a timely manner and schedule consults as appropriate. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm (Work schedules are determined by the supervisor based on facility/patient care needs).
