Be part of an excellent care team: At La Clínica, you will provide primary and obstetric care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, allowing you to practice full scope family medicine. You will deliver care to a diverse and medically complex patient population, aiming for optimal health outcomes for every patient. We support providers in their pursuits of meaningful roles and offer opportunities in mentorship, quality initiatives, and preceptorships. La Clínica is committed to continued physician education, holding monthly provider education meetings that include morbidity and mortality case presentations. You will work alongside a collaborative care team that shares ownership of tasks to improve your efficiency as a provider. Major Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to:Deliver evidenced-based care that supports improved health outcomes and exceptional patient experience.Perform routine, acute, urgent, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical care to patients.Prescribe medications, treatments, or therapies and order medical diagnostic or clinical tests.Explain medical procedures or test results to patients or family members.Analyze test data or images to inform diagnosis or treatment.Deliver well and chronic disease care with cultural humility to a diverse patient population.Participate in the call pool and rotational Saturday clinics as needed.Develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationship.Consult with mid-levels on the assessment, management, and treatment of complicated cases.Suggest improvements for clinic flow and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.Provide direction to medical assistants regarding patient care as needed.KnowledgeKnowledge and experience with Electronic Health Record programs, such as NextGen or Epic.Knowledge of techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities.High degree of interpersonal competence with both staff and patients.Good time management skills and evidence-based approaches to medical care.AbilitiesAbility to deal courteously with complex patient profiles and maintain good working relationships.Ability to work as a team member to support clinic quality and efficiency standards.Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.Ability to work under pressure and as part of an interdisciplinary team.Ability to support diversity, equity, and inclusion.Ability to keep accurate and legible records of patient information.English/Spanish proficiency preferred but not required.Experience and Other CertificationsMD/DO degree from a recognized University, with one to two years of experience in a primary care clinic setting.Board certification in Family Practice required; board eligible candidates must become certified within 2 years of employment.Valid California license and DEA required.Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate required within 30 days of hire.
