Adelphi is looking to recruit a psychiatrist to work at a facility in Petersburg, Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide psychiatric services to diverse individuals and will be exposed to a broad range of psychiatric pathology with a varied mix of acuity and complexity. Job Quick Facts  • Ref #: BD-114-34  • Profession: Physician  • Specialty: Psychiatrist  • Location: Petersburg, Virginia  • Job Type: Contract  • Coverage Type: Clinical (With possible telehealth for 1 day)  • Coverage Period: 3 months with potential to extend  • Service Setting: Outpatient/Inpatient  • Facility Type: Mental Health Clinic   • Shift schedule: Mon-Fri, 7hrs/day  Requirements:  • MD/DO  • Graduate of an approved psychiatry residency program.  • Active Virginia license   • BC  • BLS/ACLS  • DEA License Responsibilities:  • Conduct assessments/evaluations of psychiatric illnesses.  • Psychiatric medication evaluation and management in accordance with rational psycho-pharmacological practices.  • Document response to treatment; enter orders for diagnostic tests, medications, and other therapies.  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide psychiatric services to patients.  • Timely completion of medical record documentation in accordance with the state ACT Model, DMAS, and CSB policies, procedures, regulatory standards and guidelines.   • Coordination and continuation of the care for patients in adherence to state and federal guidelines and discharge planning.
