The Nephrologist will provide direct professional Nephrology services to patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities include:
Evaluation and treatment of patients with known or suspected renal disease. Writing treatment plans, including dialysis and prescription medications. Rounding on hospitalized patients and attending in clinics. Providing consultative services and diet instruction. On-call coverage during normal working hours and weekends as needed. Supervision and support for Nephrology residents and medical students. Participation in the Medical Center's Quality Management program. Completion of patient documentation in VISTA/CPRS. Minimum Requirements: United States Citizenship. Degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent from an approved school. Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine. Completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Preferred: Board certified in Medicine and board certified/board eligible in Nephrology. Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass a physical.
