The Southern California Permanente Medical Group is seeking a Staff Neurology Physician for the Neurology Department, part of the Specialty Medicine service line, reporting to the Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Specialty Medicine.
Responsibilities: Maintain professional and technical competencies to deliver effective, timely, and high-quality care to patients referred to the neurology department. Address medical problems, practice within scope of privileges, and attend outpatient clinics punctually. Maintain board certification (if board certified), meet CME requirements, and participate in resident/student training. Participate in work groups, committees, or departmental learning activities, and remain abreast of medical advances in the area of expertise. Provide appropriate consultative evaluation, treatment, and/or follow-up recommendations. Participate in peer reviews/committees and maintain professionalism. Comply with safety, security, and privacy policies, and arrange proper clinical coverage during planned absences. Minimum Requirements: United States Citizenship. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or equivalent from an approved school. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth. Completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Physical Requirements: Moderate lifting, light carrying, and ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously.
