Physician Non-Invasive Cardiologist

The Minneapolis VA Health Care System, a major teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Minnesota, has an immediate opening for a Non-Invasive Staff Cardiologist in the Cardiology section of the Primary Care Patient Service Line.
Responsibilities: Provide care in multiple settings including In-Patient, Out-Patient, Tele-Cardiology, and Outreach Cardiology visits.Participate in the teaching of students, residents, and fellows.Qualifications: Experience in general cardiology and non-invasive imaging cardiac imaging, mainly echocardiography.Board Certification in Cardiology.Experience in providing General Cardiology & Cardiology Consultant care, preferably in an academic setting.Demonstrated academic excellence through publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or active participation in conferences or educational programs.Minimum Requirements: United States Citizenship.Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree from an approved school.Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.Completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program.Proficiency in spoken and written English.Physical and mental ability to perform efficiently the essential functions of the position.The VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package including competitive salary, annual performance bonus, paid time off, retirement plans, insurance options, CME reimbursement, and malpractice protection.
