This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.

Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree from an approved school. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery. Completion of residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Preferred Experience: Significant experience in the field of Ophthalmology with fellowship training in medical retina. Additional training in glaucoma or retinal and vitreous diseases. Physical Requirements: Applicants must meet physical standards for the position. A physical examination prior to placement is required. This is a designated drug testing position.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Manage eye conditions including age-related macular degeneration, vascular occlusions, and diabetic retinopathy. Co-manage glaucoma. Document into CPRS EMR in a timely manner. Participate in Process Improvement/Quality Assurance projects. Provide direct patient care including history and physicals, medication management, evaluation of diagnostic tests, and treatment planning. Maintain oversight of the operations of the Ophthalmology Clinic. Work Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm (Two (2) eight (8) hours work-days per week)
