The primary responsibility of a Picker/Checker is to pick and check orders in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
Essential Duties: Report to Lead for daily picking/checking assignment, for either Forward Picking Line 'FPL' or Truck orders.Responsible for stocking up on material needed to pick orders throughout the day (boxes, labels, packing slip, pallets, etc.
).Utilize RF unit for the picking and make sure to scan barcode after each pick.Ensure specifications on RF unit and item picked match.Stage order in location specified by RF unit.Accurately checks orders in the FPL area by verifying product and quantities match the Check List.Secure product in the box by inserting packaging material, label each box accordingly, tape box, and then place on conveyor.Accurately checks Truck orders by following the checking duties above plus shrink wrap and drop in designated staging location.
Train associates on how to perform basic warehouse related activities.Perform warehouse operational activities in accordance with formalized policies and procedures.Provide feed-back for process and procedure improvements.Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area.Attendance and punctuality are an essential job duty CONTACTS: Internal: Departmental management, leads, employeesExternal: N/A The preceding functions have been provided examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or G.E.D.6 months - 1yr related warehouse experience or related field Knowledge, Skills and General Abilities: Working knowledge of warehouse operations Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and proceduresAbility to complete routine formsWorking knowledge of Radio Frequency technology including R.F.
gun navigation and task management preferredBasic math and organization skills.Detailed oriented.Ability to work independently and/or group setting. Other Special Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills.Problem solving abilities.Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Periodic Walking Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.Frequent Standing Frequent push/pull up to 50 lbs.Frequent Pulling/Pushing up to 1500lbs using a manual or electric pallet jack.
