Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
•Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes.
•Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, and mixers.
•Ensure food is cooked to appropriate temperatures and within safety guidelines.
•Serve meals to inmates according to portion control and dietary needs.
•Distribute food to designated areas, ensuring all meals are delivered promptly and in good condition.
•Monitor and manage food trays or packaging to ensure accuracy and prevent contamination.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food preparation areas, and serving stations, to include washing dishes.
•Follow sanitation guidelines to prevent foodborne illnesses and contamination.
•Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of kitchen tools.
•Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and tracking food supplies.
•Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the Food Service Manager.
•Follow facility policies and procedures related to food service and inmate management.
•Document food temperatures, portion sizes, and any relevant incidents or issues
•Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with inmates.
•Ensure that meals are served efficiently while following security protocols.

Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.
•Basic cooking and food preparation skills.
•Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
•Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
•Strong organizational and time-management skills.
•Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
