A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Pipe Foreman for our large heavy civil project located in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities: Foreman will be expected to run main line machine for the installation of a pipe.Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivityOversees, instructs, and participates in the installation and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer lines, etc.Perform any required testing for installed systemsResponsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standardsFill out daily reports including crew member's hours , equipment hours, appropriate cost codes, and production quantitiesCommunicate effectively with Project Superintendent and Project ManagersParticipate in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.Perform jobsite quality control checks.Ensure quality assurance on all phases of work relating to spreading, rolling, compacting and patching asphalt to form surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots, driveways, etc.Qualifications: At least 5 years of Water & Sewer Utility experienceAt least 2 years of Utility Foreman experienceExperience in large diameter storm drains, water main, dewatering, well point system.FDOT experience preferred but not requiredValid Driver's LicenseExtensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work – such as excavators, pumps, backhoes, bobcats, loaders, etc.Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specsAbility to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew members' workCertifications: OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour)CPR CertificationPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
