Pipe Welder

Job Description/Duties : Use and layout portable welding equipment (i.e., SMAW, SMAW, and GTAW).
Weld specialty alloys including carbon and stainless steel.
Set-up, operate, and test equipment for welding.
Maintain, fabricate, repair, and calibrate tools and equipment to requirements.
Make quality welds for subsequent inspection/testing in restricted/limited positions.
Read and interrupt mechanical drawings, blueprints, and weld data cards.
Record data on required forms.
Read and understand welding program, symbols, and procedures.
Qualifications/Required Skills : 3 years of welding experience and/or Trade School certification.
Completion of all testing requirements.
Nuclear experience preferred.
Ability to work in extreme heat conditions and confined spaces.
High School diploma or GED.
