Job Title: Planner/Buyer
Location: Huntsville, AL - work from home flexibility, with 1-2 days in office a week Overview: As a Planner/Buyer at X-Bow Systems, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels and ensuring timely procurement of materials. Your responsibilities will involve coordinating with various teams, optimizing production schedules, and maintaining compliance with purchasing policies.
Responsibilities: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience in program management organizations. Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity Microsoft Project as well as other information systems/data management Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the Production cycle. Provide material lead time(s) to projects and programs. Work with Supply Chain Managers (MPMs) to determine quantity and order date for raw materials to meet production demands. Work with Supply Chain Managers (MPMs) to develops production schedules based on orders, forecasts, and historical analysis. May be involved in selecting and negotiating with approved vendors. Monitors and analyzes inventory levels and works to resolve inventory discrepancies. Develops forecasts for raw materials. Any other assigned tasks Requirements: Manage multiple tasks and objectives Self-motivated, organized, and independent worker with the ability to work related deadlines. Ability to learn, convey, and expand company objectives. Ability to manage and maintain confidential information. Ability to foster effective work relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors. Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple projects. Comfortable using the computer including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
