BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Planning Engineer - Planner is a key member of the BU Planning team coordinating integrated plans, while communicating the associated options, risks, and range of outcomes. The Planning Engineer - Planner is heavily involved in the creation & facilitation of the Asset team's Field Development Plan (FDP) in addition to the business unit's budgeting and forecasting. This role continually aligns all internal and external stakeholders to the overall objectives of the business unit though the planning process and activities.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required; preferred Engineering but not mandatory.

EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 5 years of industry related progressing responsibilities with some upstream operational experience desirable. Understanding probability and statistics along with project management is advantageous.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement in the creation of and alignment to the FDP(s) and budget
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish critical risks and develop mitigation plans Integrate individual Asset FDPs into an optimized BU Plan aligned with corporate Long Range Plan (LRP) objectives Create, analyze and validate planning scenarios for optimal balance of risk and business value Responsible for timely coordination of BU budget/forecasting submissions for capital, production and LOE Create reports and presentations supporting variance analysis and overall BU performance Support various requests from corporate Strategy & Planning along with Investor Relations Align program progression within the Stage-Gate methodology to goals & key performance objectives Support surface planning efforts in accordance with facilities, infrastructure, regulatory and overall team strategy Develop trusted relationships and proactively work with all stakeholders to optimize integrated plans Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks Demonstrate experience applying statistical concepts, scheduling (critical path analysis), ability to understand data architectures for the purposes of data retrieval, consolidation and analysis. Demonstrate competence in developing visual models and scenario analysis OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Identify and perform special projects as needed with a continuous improvement mindset Requires knowledge of economics related to the upstream oil and gas industry, business finance, and risk management Practice safe work habits at all times Demonstrate commitment to Devon Attributes Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project goals Strong business acumen and creativity; capable of analyzing and solving problems Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills Action oriented with ability to lead through influence using strong judgement and decision making Experience with E&P project management, planning, and budgeting software (Mosaic, Enersight, Actenum DSO) Strong Excel skills along with experience using software programs for data analysis (Power BI, Spotfire).
