Position Overview
The Plant Controller will oversee the financial operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to company policies and GAAP standards.
This role aims to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency through in-depth financial analysis and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports for the plantManage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendationsConduct cost accounting functions to monitor product costing and inventory valuationEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal auditing standardsCollaborate with operations to implement process improvements and cost-saving initiativesOversee month-end close processes and ensure timely reportingAnalyze labor costs and overhead allocations for accuracyLead the financial aspects of inventory management and valuationSupport external audits as requiredProvide financial analysis and data mining to support operational decision-making
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of experience in accounting or finance within a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of GAAP standards and financial reportingExperience in cost accountingProficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processesCPA or MBA preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment
