The Plant Manager (PM) is responsible for oversight of plant activities in order to meet business objectives by driving the corporate mission and vision into daily operations. The PM is accountable for all aspects of plant performance while ensuring that near- and longer-term key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that is consistent with health & safety, quality and environmental requirements. The PM delegates authority to key supervisors in production and manages all activities related to plant operations. The PM is responsible and accountable for all aspects of Latham's headquarters facilities (beyond the plant) to ensure that business is conducted in a safe, clean and responsible manner consistent with the company's policies and procedures. Functional ControlEnvironmental, Health and Safety (EH&S)Talent Management/Human ResourcesLead the operation of a safe and environmentally compliant facilityExecute the company's EH&S policies, procedures, training and practicesEstablish routine practices to assure compliance with OSHA/MoE/MoL standards (US/CA)Maintain facility securityExecute the plant production planMeet/exceed order fulfilment demands within the company's established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Ensure that quality criteria are adhered to in the production processOversee facility, plant and equipment maintenance to minimize downtimeLead 3rd party and in-house CDL resources to meet customer timelinesDevelop, maintain and deliver the facility's expense budgetPrepare, submit and manage Capital Expenditure Projects (CERs) to provide measurable returnDrive Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) and Base Cost Productivity (BCP) projects including defining and monitoring project goals and objectives through to completionSpecifically, improved throughput and labor utilization through targeted lean/six sigma projects and daily executionSpecifically, improved material utilization and minimize material variances through targeted lean/six sigma projects and daily executionMonitor operations and trigger corrective actionsParticipate in Project Management (PMO) activitiesPartner with shared services leaders (i.e. Quality, EH&S, Planning/Scheduling, Warranty, Customer Service & Design) in the tactical and strategic execution of plant performanceManages and maintains the Latham headquarters, including all areas of the facility and oversees third parties and internal staff responsible for maintenance and upkeep.Performs Human Resources functions, including:Performing salary administration and performance review tasks according to the annual headcount plan/budget and established processes and proceduresAll aspects of the employee lifecycle - Identifying staffing needs, conducting job interviews, making recommendations for direct and indirect hires and assuring a culture of cross-training is realizedAdministering cultural programs and assuring an environment of engagement, inclusion and open communication where employee issues are addressed proactivelyPartnering with Human Resources to communicate and uphold company policies, procedures and lawsDevelop a culture of long-term succession plans and provide the training and guidance to those in the planQualifications: Bachelor's degree is required in Engineering, Safety, Science or a Business – related field(An associate's degree may be considered with commensurate experience.)A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering related field to include:5 + years of experience in capital expenditure management5 + years of experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and methods3 + years of experience in a manufacturing plant3 + years of installation or logistics experienceLean Manufacturing experience.
