The Division of Plastic Surgery Research Scholar will develop skills in planning, implementation, and conducting retrospective and prospective clinical trials as well as managing and analyzing institutional and national datasets. The position will include the following objectives: 1. Gain an understanding of the importance of human protection and laws which govern clinical research 2. Become proficient at generating study designs for new protocols and submitting to the IRB 3. Create databases to hold abstracted data for outcomes and other studies of interest 4. Monitor and analyze data for interpretation. 5. Implement study design and actively recruit and collect data for prospective clinical trials 6. Prepare abstracts for scientific meetings and manuscripts for publication 7. Assist in preparation and full participation of divisional quarterly research meetings 8. Prepare and deliver accepted studies for conference posters and presentations This position is anticipated to last for one year. Position is contingent upon continued grant funding.
