About the Platform Developer Position Motivosity is looking for a skilled Platform Developer who is passionate about managing infrastructure, improving deployment pipelines, and optimizing backend systems. This role will focus on maintaining and improving our production environment to ensure uptime, reliability, and cost efficiency. Platform Developer Responsibilities Are: • Manage and improve deployment pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient software releases.
• Collaborate with the team to manage AWS services, focusing on cost reduction and optimized scaling strategies.
• Contribute to backend development using Java Spring, improving code quality and performance.
• Monitor system uptime and error rates, ensuring high availability and resolving issues promptly.
• Work with offshore team members to align on goals, tasks, and strategies for managing the platform effectively.
Platform Developer Requirements Are: • At least 2 years of production experience in platform or backend development.
• Significant experience with Java Spring or similar backend frameworks.
• Proven experience managing and optimizing AWS services, including cost management.
• Familiarity with deployment pipelines and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and practices to ensure system health and performance.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have Skills: • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in ceremonies.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
