SUMMARY
The agency is known to protect the retirement income of more than 33 million American workers in private sector defined benefit pension plans. A defined benefit plan provides a specified monthly benefit at retirement, often based on a combination of salary and years of service. This contract is for the delivery of IT infrastructure services and support needed for the agency's mission. This contract will serve as a strategic tool to navigate the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of IT requirements at the agency.
The IT Infrastructure Platform Services Manager shall manage and oversee PBGC's advanced, upper-level support for a variety of on-premise and cloud-based platforms such as servers, databases, storage and cloud instances.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
· DevSecOps Foundation
· (1) Advanced certifications in relevant technology platforms (e.g. Linux/Unix, Microsoft, Oracle)
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
STRONGLY PREFERRED
· 10 years' experience managing IT infrastructure platforms, must include at least (2) major IT platforms (e.g. servers, storage, databases, cloud, etc.)
· Demonstrated experience IT infrastructure platforms in similar size / scope
· Bachelors in IT disciplines
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills
· Extensive knowledge of datacenter operations including servers, services, networking, and extending to cloud environments
· Knowledge of DevSecOps and cybersecurity to harden systems to mitigate vulnerabilities and attack footprint
· Storage Area Network experience for both network attached and fiber networking environments
Preferred Skills
· Strong understanding of data analysis, metrics and reporting
· Excellent Communications skills
· Strong team/personnel leadership skills

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
· Contractor site with possible off-hours work to support releases and/or VIP troubleshooting issues. Work requires standing and walking up to 25% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Travel may be required to assist team with fielding operations at remote site locations
Strength Demands
· Light – 20 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs. A job is light if less lifting is involved but significant walking/standing is done or if done mostly sitting but requires push/pull on arm or leg controls
