Description:
The ideal candidate will bring business consulting experience, PLM tool and implementation expertise to help grow and expand existing client engagements within the following Industries: Auto, Aero, Industrial Machinery, Electrical Equipment, Farm Equipment, Construction, Heavy Equipment, Power Generation, EPC industries, Process industries like Chemical industries.
The candidate will be responsible for defining PLM solution roadmap for clients and lead PLM implementations.
The expectation is to provide thought leadership delivering business value to the clients, developing reusable assets in the process.
The candidate will develop innovative solutions using digital and emerging technologies in context of client problems and contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities and influencing downstream IT projects.
Responsibilities:
Working as part of an New Product Innovation and Lifecycle processes consulting team within the manufacturing industry vertical PLM consultant will be responsible to;
• Lead PLM solution roadmap planning and execution, PLM tool evaluations, PLM prototypes and proof of concept.
• Perform due diligence, feasibility analysis, bench-marking and analytical studies on the business process and PLM implementation alternatives
• Capture requirements, documents use cases, develop test strategies and plans, testing of interfaces to legacy PLM platforms and support delivery and roll-out strategies.
• Participate and lead PLM UAT, demonstrations, awareness and training sessions
• Strategize and deliver process and IT technology transformational initiatives via consulting skills
• Provide thought leadership delivering business value to the clients, developing reusable assets in the process
• Develop innovative solutions using digital and emerging technologies in context of client problems
• Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities and influencing downstream IT projects
Qualifications:
Must Have
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar.
• Previous experience with PLM processes and tools is mandatory
• Direct experience gained ideally within the continuous manufacturing industry and / or a consulting firm
• Should be familiar with Test Automation and CI/CD principles
• Skilled in business value led approaches and helping shape client decision making
• Action orientated and willing to take ownership
• Self-confidence and an ability to build relationships with clients at all levels, especially at the Program Leadership and Business Leadership levels.
• Strong oral & written communication skills, team working skills
• High performer in his or her area of business.
Good-to-have
• Master's in Business Administration or similar
• Experience supporting or interacting with embedded software engineers and tools/processes that support them will be of particular importance.
• Previous consultancy experience.
• Exposure / experience in industry standard focus areas like LEAN, 6 Sigma, ToC
• Expertise or very sound understanding of Program Management
• Demonstrable evidence on Innovation, Thought Leadership or Subject Matter Expertise
• Participated in industry forum / other public forum
• Membership and certifications from industry standard bodies as PMI, NPDP and others.

Minimum 3-5 Years of hands-on experience on PLM products and implementing PLM solutions
