**
**Position:** Plumber - Corrections Facility
**Summary of responsibilities:**
The Plumber shall be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, testing, etc.
on all plumbing systems and components of the facility.
**This position is located in a correctional facility.
**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Work on all plumbing systems, drains, sprinkler, sewage, and steam systems throughout facility
+ Responsible for all required inspections on plumbing systems and components.
Includes backflows, fire hydrants, fire pumps, water heaters and other pressure vessels, pressure valves, etc.
+ Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on natural gas supply and distribution lines, or other fuel source systems
+ Coordinate outside contractors for contract work on associated systems
+ Assist other trades where necessary
+ Responds to on-call emergency repair work.
This includes after hours on-sight response.
+ Completes corrective and preventive maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
+ Maintain logs per ACA requirements as applicable
**Must haves:**
+ Thorough knowledge of the methods of the installation and repair of plumbing systems
+ Knowledge of the safety precautions of the plumbing trade, skill in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in the performance of plumbing work
+ Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics for associated systems
+ Understand and abide by all applicable Safety Data Sheets (SDS) procedures
+ Understand and abide by all Lock Out Tag Out procedures
+ High school diploma, or equivalent
+ Licensing in applicable trade and jurisdiction preferred
**Additional Information**
+ **Hours:** Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime, holiday, or weekend work as needed.
+ **Travel:** No travel required.
