Plumbing Engineer

This Mid-to-Senior Level Plumbing Engineer serves as the lead on projects from concept through construction administration. Performs design efforts, develops construction documents, and delegates design tasks to junior engineers when possible. Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs as well as working through issues with contractors in the field.
Essential Functions: Lead design discussions and carry design concept through to project drawings.Design plumbing systems for construction drawings that include plumbing floor plans, riser diagrams, details, schedules, and sections.Perform plumbing-related calculations.Select plumbing equipment.Coordinate with other engineering and architectural trades during design.Develop construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.Participate in developing project details, equipment schedules, and specifications.Contribute to sustainable design discussions and implement sustainable strategies as appropriate to the project scope.Administer construction administration for plumbing scope items including conformance to contract documents and solve problems.Respond to project questions and concerns in a timely and thorough manner.Research and assess applicable project codes and other regulations. Conduct other important engineering research as necessary.Position Requirements: Degree in Mechanical or Plumbing Design Certification.Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.A minimum of 5 years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm.Well-versed in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
