We are looking for a Plumbing Journeyman with significant rough-in and service experience in residential, and light commercial. The individual for this role must also know sewer and water services.
The ideal candidate will possess a sincere desire to create strong customer goodwill in all transactions.
Scope: Estimate and sell plumbing projects, ensuring they are completed on time and on budget. This includes planning and coordinating the work, scheduling, resolving conflicts, and providing leadership to the team. Must leave customers with a favorable view of Fischer.
Responsibilities: Respond to estimate requests for plumbing work and water services; leaks and replacements; sewer repairs/replacement Create and issue estimates; schedule work Line-out plumbers and technicians prior to start of work Handle customer and staff questions; resolve issues or misunderstandings Review project results; push for timely billings Maintain a great relationship with field employees and provide the best service we can to help them execute the job successfully Manage change orders as they become necessary with customers when scope of work changes Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during a project Communicate with customers about their projects and provide updates throughout the process as needed Assist in collecting, when necessary, after the work is complete Assist office in handling customer inquiries when asked about service plumbing work Serve as a member of the management team providing general leadership within the company Requirements: Integrity Journey-level plumbing experience with strong knowledge Estimating experience is helpful Must like people Thorough knowledge of rough-in, residential plumbing service/repair, and underground plumbing Skill in dealing with inspectors Ability to review, understand and analyze plumbing issues Superior communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Up-to-date with the latest industry practices and trends Ability to operate independently, while at the same time a willingness to accept inputs from others inside the company when helpful
