JOB SUMMARY
The Asset Coordinator processes all purchase requisitions, purchase orders and change orders for the Conroe Police Department.
Pays all PO invoices and invoices for all of PD, recurring invoices and credit card statements.
Runs budget reports and account summaries.
Handles all petty cash and reimbursement paperwork and receipts.
Oversees inventory and stocks all uniforms, duty gear, patrol supplies, crime scene supplies, office supplies and building supplies.
Responsible for all capital assets inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Special Requirements: Microsoft software experience (Word, Excel, etc.)
Knowledge of Incode accounting software system.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of police service equipment including but not limited to body armor, tasers, body-worn camera, tools and appliances.
The position requires the ability to analyze data and interpret technical procedures as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, clients, customers and vendors.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing as well as all units of measurement.
Must be a self-starter and independently work to maintain overall office activities and complete project-related work assignments.
This job requires comprehensive skills and knowledge as it pertains to the multiple databases required to track and procure facility supplies, police equipment and financial accuracy for the departmental budget.
Furthermore, the independent judgment and decision-making abilities to apply practical knowledge of project coordination and the ability to make appropriate decisions along the way.
Proficient word processing, database, spreadsheet and accounting software skills required.
Basic email and internet skills required; predominately, these will be done in Microsoft applications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is light and requires the ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, handling, hearing, lifting, mental acuity, pushing, speaking, visual acuity and walking.

Starting salary for this position is $22.028 hourly.
Must pass background check and pre-employment substance abuse screening as a condition of employment.
A motor vehicle record check and job-related doctor's physical exam may also be required.
Must pass FBI Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) fingerprint-based criminal background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
