Details of the offer

Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute (HHRI) and the Department of Surgery at Hennepin Healthcare The Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute (HHRI) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join our Neurosurgery Restorative Neurotrauma Lab research team.
At the HHRI, we have been actively investigating the causes of and potential treatments for diseases since 1952. We support and oversee the medical research conducted at Hennepin Healthcare System's HCMC, an acute care research and teaching hospital located in downtown Minneapolis. In an academic environment that emphasizes patient care, research, and teaching, HHRI helps offer patients better care now and hope for improved healthcare in the future.
HHRI is the nonprofit 501(c)(3) institute responsible for providing administrative and fiscal oversight for research performed on the HCMC campus. The HHRI is one of the largest medical research institutes in Minnesota and consistently ranks in the top ten percent of all institutions receiving research funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH). HHRI administers over $23 million in federally funded activity with $57 million in total research funds annually.
HCMC is a 484-bed public teaching hospital located in downtown Minneapolis, MN. HCMC employs approximately 6,000 people and is Minnesota's largest safety net hospital. HCMC conducts approximately 600,000 clinic visits annually and is the state's premier Level 1 Trauma Center. The majority of HCMC patients are of minority racial and/or ethnic backgrounds.
The Fellow will be an integral part of the research team. They will be responsible for developing and managing software for running and analyzing data for multiple clinical projects including time series data from intracranial, extracranial, and muscle electrophysiology including complex statistical analyses. They would create and maintain databases in RedCAP, and work towards publications and support grants with quantitative analyses and visualizations. They will work with other scientists, physicians and engineers to transform complex requirements into software, publications, and grants.
This is a 50/50 hybrid role requiring a minimum of 50% onsite presence in downtown Minneapolis, MN.
