Postdoc, Organic Chemistry University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF07806 The Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated synthetic organic chemist ready to function in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Applicants should have exceptional communication skills coupled with a strong publication record. Previous experience in fluorine chemistry, organometallic chemistry and multistep synthesis is highly desirable. Responsibilities: The synthetic chemistry candidate for this opportunity will be part of a multidisciplinary research team in the Crump Institute for Molecular Imaging within UCLA, located in Los Angeles, California. This candidate will work on developing novel methods for site-specific fluorination, organometallic chemistry as well as peptide labeling methods and will work closely with collaborators along the chemistry-biology interface. Interested candidates should be trained in traditional synthetic chemistry techniques and be willing to work in a highly collaborative environment.
