Job duties: Participate as a team member in hardware development of high power electric vehicle (EV) chargers. This position requires an expert in this area and is responsible for design, development, and support of all related power electronics hardware activity. Develop and implement new power electronics circuits to support the introduction of high power EV chargers. Manage activities related to outsourcing or resourcing power electronic assemblies. Work collaboratively with software/controls engineers to ensure successful product development. Support mechanical packaging and system design to support electrical/thermal requirements. Understand and navigate regulatory requirements to ensure designs meet required standards. Work with manufacturing engineers to establish policies and processes for building and testing high power EV chargers. Determine root cause for failed equipment. Lead functional teams or projects. Interpret internal or external issues and recommend solutions/best practices; Solve complex problems and identify solutions. Support, develop and implement three phase PFC front end AC/DC converters.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related. Must have five years of experience with three phase PFC front end AC/DC converters and designing electronic power systems.
