Job Title: PowerBuilder Programmer with C#.NET Location: REMOTE in Phonix, AZ Employment Type: Long Term Contract Experience: 3+ years minimum Minimum technologies required: PowerBuilder 12 or high, C#.NET Development, SQL Server, OnBase Unity API skills, GIT Source Code Management Programmer consultant-to-hire request This position will support the upgrade/uplift of an in-house custom Powerbuilder application for the courts of appeal. The current project is phased out to initially upgrade Powerbuilder, utilize AZURE DevOps for source control and testing then we will migrate the database to SQL and rewrite the UI. The skill set for the additional staff should consider the following: PowerBuilder (12 or higher) C#.net development (to begin reducing the size of Appellation and introduce newer technology) Web development data model design work to begin considering the unified judicial collaboration portal effort with Division Two. Strong analytical and people skills Microsoft SQL Server OnBase Unity API skills GIT Source Code Management in the Microsoft DevOps pipeline Preferred local hire with remote work options. To successfully meet our objectives over the next two years, the new staff will gain invaluable experience working with our vendor as well being able to accelerate the vendor engagement. Primary responsibilities include of technologists, also include, but are not limited to: 1. Provide a succession plan to product management for all the Appellate courts by providing technical and strategic recommendations to upper management for the current infrastructure. a. Appellamation CMS (current and future design) b. C2C (court to court case transfer current design and future design) c. Public Portal Content and Site Management d. E-Filing XML standards implementation e. OnBase Integration (future re-design) 2. Reviewing current architectural designs of the database and CMS construction 3. Recommend and implement improvements that reduce system complexity (PowerBuilder or .net net based) 4. Play a lead role in creating a common CMS DB structure with Court of Appeals Division Two There is a chance that this position will convert to FTE, but they will convert at a lower salary. Remote/Onsite: The resource will be on-site initially for a couple of weeks. Then, once the role is understood, they can work remotely. There is a requirement for the resource to be on-site 2 days/month, or more if needed depending on the project.
