PPG is seeking a skilled on-site Document Control Administrator to join our team in Adelanto, California. As an EPC contractor specializing in utility and industrial process infrastructure projects, we are looking for a professional who can effectively manage and maintain project documentation to ensure the success of our projects. PRIMARY FUNCTION The on-site Document Controls Specialist is responsible for providing project support services in the control of Project Documentation, in conformance with the Document Control System Procore and for providing project support services in accordance with the setup and implementation of the Cost and Contract Management System Unifier and other spreadsheet-based reports. The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for managing all project documents in both electronic and hard copy formats, implementing and maintaining document control procedures, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Under the guidance of the Document Controls Supervisor;Setup and maintain the Procore document management Systems and toolsReview and distribute project documentsPrepare/receive Project Document SubmittalsProvide RFI and Submittal Status Reports to the Project Team for Review and ActionSupport the Review and Response to client CommentsProvide ProCore and document control support to the Site Team as requiredManage and maintain all project documents in both electronic and hard copy formats, as required by the projectCollaborate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of document control procedures, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standardsOversee the project closeout process, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurateCollaborate with various departments to ensure document control needs are metUtilize project management software for document management and project tracking, with Procore preferredEnsure proper document distribution via workflow within predefined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Ensure all documents meet regulatory compliance standardsConduct audits of documentation processes, and prepare compliance reports as neededProactively identify and resolve issues related to compliance and accuracyDistribute documents to appropriate stakeholdersPerforms any other duties assignedAdheres to internal standards, policies, and proceduresLead initiatives to improve document control practices and policies, staying current on best practices and evolving industry standards.Position Reports to: Director of Project Services QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS4+ years of experience in construction or engineering document control.Project closeout experience is preferred.Experience with California regulatory agencies is preferred.Ability to adapt to meet project needs.Experience working with quality documents is preferred.Proficiency with Procore or similar document management systems. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat).Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a project team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience supporting power generation or oil and gas facility construction projects – A plus! Experience with Procore as the Document Management SystemExperience with other Document Management SystemsExperience working with a Project Team Salary Expectations: $80,000 - $90,000 yearly Expected to work 40-50 hours per week based upon project needs
