Seeking a highly organized and experienced Practice Manager for a small non-profit primary care practice in Worcester, MA. Dedicated to serving newly arriving refugees and immigrants with a focus on community collaborations.
Ideal candidate has a background in healthcare management, a passion for diverse populations, and can ensure efficient practice operations.
Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring patient satisfaction, and maintaining healthcare regulatory compliance.
Must foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patients.
Key Responsibilities:Operations Management:Oversee the daily operations of the practice to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.Develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.Manage the practice's schedule to optimize patient flow and provider productivity.Ensure the maintenance and functionality of office equipment and facilities.Monitor and manage the practice's budget, including revenue and expenses.Oversee billing, coding, and collections to maximize revenue and minimize outstanding accounts receivable.Prepare financial reports and analyze financial data to inform decision-making.Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.Staff Management:Recruit, train, and supervise administrative and clinical staff.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.Address any staff conflicts or issues promptly and effectively.Patient Relations:Work with senior management and community partners to build a practice reflective of the needs of newly arriving refugee and immigrant patients.Implement strategies to improve patient experience and engagement.Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain culturally sensitive communication practices to better serve a diverse patient population.Community Engagement:Establish and maintain relationships with local community organizations, refugee resettlement agencies, and immigrant support groups.Coordinate outreach programs and community health education initiatives.Advocate for the healthcare needs of refugees and immigrants within the community.Organize and participate in community events to promote the practice and its services.Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure the practice complies with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to improve patient care.Prepare for and manage external audits and inspections.Stay current with changes in healthcare laws and regulations.Information Technology:Worcester RISE for Health uses EPIC EMR. The Practice Manager would be responsible for supporting practice staff in getting trained on EMR, overseeing workflows, running reports, and supervising front desk staff.Ensure data security and the confidentiality of patient information.Utilize technology to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.QualificationsBachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in a primary care setting.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Proficiency in healthcare billing, coding, and electronic health record systems.Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial management.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.Experience working with diverse populations, particularly refugees and immigrants, is highly desirable.Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.Compensation: $70,000 yearly
