The Plant Manager will have overall responsibility of a precast plant including the production and delivery of products, employee oversight including development, management of assets, risk management, and financial performance.
Responsible for safety, quality, production, communication, reliability, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the safety of all employees, and for ensuring compliance of all aspects of EHS, and State and Federal regulations.
Responsible for all areas of EHS programs, operations, and continuous improvement and implementing corporate initiatives for same.
Establish goals, communicate expectations, and build a culture of accountability, commitment, and empowerment; provide motivation, support, and guidance.
Cultivate a climate for offering information and opinions and providing developmental opportunities.
Responsible for identifying and analyzing KPIs to help improve results.
Ensure production is met within budget and action plans developed and implemented to improve operational efficiencies for continuous improvement.
Must have a good understanding of product specifications (in markets they are selling in) to ensure all products are being manufactured to meet all DOT, County, City and other agency requirements.
Must have a good understanding of mix designs as they apply to meet product specifications.
Responsible to oversee inventory control (cycle counts, receiving, good receipt, etc.).
Direct and coordinate activities of departments concerned with production, customer service and distribution of products.
Review financial statements, sales and activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing program improvement.
Responsible to collaborate with manager and peers when challenges arise to develop plan of action for resolution.
Develop and build teams by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members; identify potential in personnel, and sponsor, mentor and ensure development.
Increases management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, coaching, and counseling direct reports, and communicating values, strategies, and objectives.

Experience, Education & License Requirements: HS Diploma or GED Bachelor of Science, Engineering or Business, or related field preferred 8+ years' experience in a managerial role in a precast manufacturing or construction environment Skills & Abilities: Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Experience in applying LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles.
Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as group.
Strong decision making, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels of the Corporation.
Computer literate and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) required, SAP experience a plus Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and production methods.
Thorough knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Thorough knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
