Peter Vander Werff Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced, proven Pre-Construction Manager to work with our team of professionals on Design Build projects in Southern/Central California Colorado.
Lead and manage all design and pre-construction efforts of assigned projects from project award to construction.

Fully understand the contract documents, be the person leading the team who knows the contract requirements inside and out.
Provide recommendations and options to help resolve project-specific challenges to ensure timely completion of each design phase and start of construction.
Develop and maintain a visible and positive leadership role with the Government, our Design Team, project personnel, subcontractors and vendors.
Collaborate all efforts with PVW's Executive Management, and external consultants, to ensure contract requirements are met timely and on budget.
Take an active role during the design process, offering constructability and cost containment, provide inputand direction to the design team as necessary to maintain project budget goals.
Develop and maintain budgets at each design level using the original estimate as the baseline.
Generate a bidding list for each trade not already bought out during initial estimating of the project, including qualified subcontractors and vendors that are local and/or regional to the project location, ensure that we are able to receive a minimum of 3 sub/vendor bids for each scope-of-work.
Review and coordinate resolution of all RFI's through our design team or the Government.
Receive, organize and qualify subcontractor and vendor proposals and make recommendations for selection and award of subcontracts and purchase orders.
Ensure that we meet or exceed all contract requirements, complete each design phase timely and on budget, and follow through with project as construction starts to ensure a smooth hand off to the field team.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or industry related program with a minimum 5-years industry related experience or substantial, verifiable experience in successfully leading Design Build Team's on military construction projects.
Excellent organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills essential.
