We make it a priority to support the aspirations of every individual, with international opportunities, ongoing training and development, and first-class benefits.Williams Operating Corporation - Barrick Gold located near Marathon in Northwestern Ontario presently requires a:Predictive Maintenance TechnicianPosition Description:The Predictive Maintenance Technician minimizes the asset down time and repair cost by collecting and trending the condition monitoring data. This data will allow the maintenance department to optimize the maintenance decisions to achieve those business objectives.Responsibilities:Providing a current asset condition monitoring data to support the planning & reliabilityprogram.Supporting the development of the asset maintenance strategy using condition monitoring data.Participating the root cause analysis investigations using condition monitoring data.Ensuring the integrity of the asset condition monitoring data.Trending condition monitoring data to predict failures and determine the optimum time to remove the asset from service.Supporting the bad actor management program using condition monitoring data.Ensuring alignment between the condition monitoring technology and failure mode.Building the condition monitoring data bases such as: Vibration, Thermography, Air-Borne Ue, Oil Analysis.Using the failure analysis reports and component condition reports to better understand the failure mechanism and enhance the trigger points in the program to reduce rebuild cost and down time.Ensuring the condition monitoring equipment are well maintained, clean and taken care of.Ensure regular equipment calibration and ongoing updates are done for the measuring devices.Analyze data to proactively identify, detect, trend failure modes for critical equipment.Optimize the inspection intervals based on asset criticality and failure mode.Attend component tear downs to track the condition of failed parts to optimize the program.Issue the distribute the weekly Asset Health Report for all critical assets on site.Participate in the weekly planning meeting to provide an insight into the asset health and risk level.Qualifications:Completion of a Trade Certificate in a relevant field such as Millwright, Industrial Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician OR;Mechanical Engineering Technologist with an extensive hands on heavy industrial experience.Vibration Analysis level 2, Ue Level 1, IR Level I, Lubrication fundamentals & Oil analysis.Familiarity with the principles of Reliability Centered Maintenance techniques.
