Prep Cook Essential Functions: Report to work in uniform presented professionally, neat, and cleanGreet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valuedAnticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step furtherPrepare all required items according to make sheets/recipesSet up service units with needed itemsService items in accordance with established portions and presentation standardsNotify the Kitchen Supervisor of expected shortagesEnsure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitaryAssist the Kitchen Supervisor in maintaining security and safety in the kitchenSet up, maintain, and break down prep cook stationRequisition items needed to produce menu itemsAdhere to local health and safety regulationsMaintain any logs required by the health departmentCover, date, and neatly store all leftover products that are reusableMaintain the highest sanitary standardsExhibit regular and recurrent attendance recordsOther duties as requested by managementPosition Requirements: Minimum Knowledge: Requires ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions. Work is completed on the property Uniform and Appearance Guidelines: Uniform: Uniform shirt, hat and name tag will be provided. Team Members are responsible for their own pants and shoes meeting Suburban Inns specifications. Pants need to be either chef pants, black slacks/dockers or dark wash jeans with no holes (no yoga-style) and shoes need to be black, close-toed and non-slip.
