POSITION: Prep Cook

CLASSIFICATION : Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Caf General Manager

Position Summary
The Prep Cook position is a critical part of supporting the caf.
A successful applicant values quality, safety, and is detail oriented.


Key Responsibilities Assemble dishes Cut, peel, and wash vegetables Prep all cold and hot food items using prep worksheets Follow proper knife safety procedures Operate oven and hot prep equipment, ensure proper time/temp of all hot and cooked foods Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards to eliminate cross contamination Maintain clean, food-safe dishes, prep stations and maintain the overall kitchen Receive and follow through with orders Qualifications and Requirements Some food preparation experience preferred Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team Has a sense of urgency and is hospitable with guests Capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Must maintain current state issued Food Handler Card Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.

Required tofrequently wash handsand mayoccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
