As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced President to lead our team and further our mission.

Position Overview The President plays a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Chamber, overseeing a dedicated staff of three and reporting directly to a board of twelve members.
This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader with extensive experience in managing non-profit organizations, particularly within chamber settings, to drive initiatives that empower our members and strengthen our community.
The position requires a unique blend of leadership, operational excellence, membership recruitment and retention along with ensuring smooth execution of Chamber events.
Scope of Responsibilities Membership Retention/Growth/Support Build and maintain strong relationships with board members, staff, members, and community stakeholders.Enhance member engagement through programs, events, and services that add value.Foster collaborations with local government, businesses, school districts, and community organizations.Develop, coordinate, and oversee programs and events to attract new members.Work with staff to maintain an updated database of membership with current contact information.Operational Excellence Lead and manage the Chamber's operations, ensuring an efficient and productive organization.Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the Chamber's mission and goals.Oversee financial management, including budgeting, accounting, and resource allocation.Monitor and maintain accurate accounts receivables.Provide accurate budget and financial reports to the Board.Utilize technology effectively for operations, marketing, and member communication.Leadership Promote a culture of quality customer service and professionalism throughout the organization.Work with the Board of Directors to ensure communication and agreement with Chamber direction.Ensure proper staff roles and direction in accordance with the strategic goals of the organization.Execution of Chamber Events Coordinate and oversee all existing Chamber events and conduct an annual assessment of each event, with recommendations as to any changes necessary.Assess, on an annual basis, potential new events and present recommendations to the Board.Coordinate and attend ribbon cuttings, open houses, Business After Hours, and other similar events.Develop, maintain, and update promotional materials for all Chamber events.Solicit sponsorships and other funding for Chamber events.Public Relations/Marketing Act as the spokesperson for the Chamber in the community.Assist and oversee the development, publishing, and distribution of the Chamber newsletter.Develop, maintain, and update the Chamber's website and community calendar.Prepare and issue press releases, letters to the local press, communications to members, and public officials, as directed by the Board.Develop all necessary and appropriate publications, brochures, member materials, and promotional literature for the Chamber.Represent the Chamber at all meetings and activities where such attendance will advance the interests of the Chamber.Strive to continuously improve the Chamber's image through building consistency, conviction, and credibility through all actions.Important Characteristics Outstanding interpersonal skills.Ability to successfully relate to staff, members, community leaders, and partner organizations.Motivated to achieve organizational and personal success.Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.Effective working with groups of people to achieve established goals.Effective problem solver.Ability to perceive and understand community and group dynamics.Willingness to compromise to achieve a higher goal.Savvy in dealing with organizational and community politics.Ability to acquire the confidence of colleagues.Operates with integrity.Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a non-profit organization, preferably in a chamber of commerce or similar environment.Proven track record of effective financial and organizational management.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and financial management tools.Reasonable residency close to or in the Prior Lake community.
South of the Minnesota River is preferred.Supervision The position reports to the Board of Directors.
Compensation The compensation package will include a competitive salary based upon the candidate's level of professional experience.
The anticipated salary will be $90,000.
